Invitation to the “Silk Road E-commerce” Online Lectures for Africa

To whom it may concern,

To advance cooperation between China and African countries under the framework of “Silk Road E-commerce,” enhance the e-commerce capabilities of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in African countries, and promote exchanges and cooperation in e-commerce talent development between China and Africa, the Africa Session of the “Silk Road E-commerce” Online Training Program, hosted by the Department of E-commerce and Informatization, Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, and organized by the China International Electronic Commerce Center (CIECC), is scheduled to take place from September 20 to 24, 2026.

The program will feature courses on topics including AI-powered livestream e-commerce in African local markets, Kilimall's e-commerce operations and practices in Africa, and the branding and operation of African products. The program aims to enhance the e-commerce capabilities of African countries and support the development of e-commerce talent.

Since its launch in the 4th quarter of 2020, the “Silk Road E-commerce” Online Lecture has successfully organized a wide range of bilateral and multilateral sessions, including dedicated sessions for Latin American countries, Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states, Central Asian countries, BRICS countries, African countries, Central and Eastern European countries, and ASEAN countries. To date, the program has delivered 142 online training sessions, reaching more than 10,000 participants from over 100 countries and regions. Videos available for replay on the dedicated platform have received more than 110,000 views, generating positive outcomes and broad impact.

The Africa Session will be conducted in both Chinese and English and will feature online lectures delivered by renowned Chinese e-commerce experts. Each session will last approximately two hours and include both expert presentations and interactive Q&A. Please refer to the attached schedule for details.
